99 Accord w/ jumpy acceleration
Hi all.. glad I found a place I can go and discuss car problems. Little b/g:
Been a Honda owner since '91. Had a '91 Honda Prelude un '99. Then bought a V6 accord.
Here's the issue: my accord has 89k miles. Its had the cat replaced, and just recently got through being tuned up. Now... the check engine light is on, and on occasion, while going down the road, the rpm slowly dive off as though I'm letting my foot off the gas. It'll then jump back into acceleration. It's not affecting the temp, etc.. and there is no knocking.
I'm thinking its either dirty O2 sensors, dying fuel pump or something I just can't tell.
Any ideas you can share would be appreciated.
Bob

Find out what the why the CEL is on... Either check the code yourself (there's a how-to in the Guide to Basic Accords) or take the car to Autozone (make sure you get the actual code number). Come back and let us know what the code is, which will help keep us from throwing you 20 different suggestions.
