USGP 2007?
First thanks for looking, I wanted to know where to get tickets for the race and what's the best spot in the track. This would the first time I'll go to an F1 race, so if anyone can help me plan my trip I would greatly apreciated.
Tanks for looking guys.

If you search, there was a good thread on this subject last year. Section H/J, end of front straight is my recommendation.
(hey look, I come out of the woods for a second, haha)

IMHO, the best viewing spot is around or slightly past T1 at the end of the front straight (which is the exit of T4 of the oval). The start and first turn carnage are usually the majority of the action for an F1 race, and occasionally there is some action at the pit exit and in the braking zone for T1. If you sit high enough, you can see turns 13 through 7, and there is a big TV screen right across the track from the grandstands so you can view timing and TV shots.
If you do get tickets in that section, take plenty of water and sunblock because there is no shade and it gets very hot and humid if the sun is out. Alternately, if it's raining you'll want a poncho or whatever.
If you want a somewhat shady seat, try one of the lower rows in the Corner 6 Terrace. We sat there last year and it was fairly pleasant in the shade of a big tree, despite the high humidity and temperature.
"Seats" are really only for the race. For Friday practice and Saturday practice and qualifying, the tickets are general admission - so you can move around the track and sit wherever you want.

Unsure about thursday. I cant remember how it worked last year. In past years though, buying a race ticket got you a pass for thursday. Its not terribly crowded.
Friday and saturday I think were 20 each last year. and race tix run from 85-250?
I guess you need to figure in hotel, transportation and food, etc... but that depends on where you stay.
the pricing keeps changing every year. A few years ago, you were able to buy a "Weekend pass" which got you a ticket to all 3 days, I dont know if they do that any more.
In the realm of F1, USGP tix are pretty cheap.
http://www.usgpindy.com is the official site, you need to buy tix direct. Since they keep changing what they do, you're gonna have to ask them what you can buy tickets in advance for. Friday and saturday are purchasable at the gate, sunday you'll want in advance. Earlier is better, the faster you call, the more good seats there are to pick.
