Default So i got this F20c longblock...

Alright,

i have a complete longblock F20c

it has burnt up a rod bearing im sure. or maybe bent a rod. i havent been inside yet. i just put it to the side

i have been looking around for a price to sell this thing.

what do you guys think would be a decent price?

complete swap is going for like $3600
tranny alone is $1000 (which i dnt have)

then its damaged... so i figured somewhere in the $1000 range
any help?

$1000 for a hurt F20C is Spot on. That is exactly what it should sell for most hurt short blocks go for $500 and most heads go for $500. SO there you go.

Well, I got a damaged short block for $200. Only damage was to the sleeves, no bearing or crankshaft damage.

Why not repair and sell it for a good profit.

Send the crank to Benson or Castillo, or if you have a good local machine shop use them. If all that happened is a mild bearing failure, it should be a breeze to get back together...plus there is something fun about taking an engine down to the bare block and the reassembly process.

My $.02

As for the value, you might get more $ separating the head and block.
