Those aren't abbreviations. Those are chassis designation codes.

Rather short list, but you get the idea.

I'm writing a large list on chassis codes that I'll be posting up on H-T once I finish it up. Expect it to be awhile though... It's a very long list.

In the mean time, if there's one you'd like info on just ask and I'll try to find it for you.

Oh, and the chassis codes can tell you certain info about the car (stock info at least): model, generation, body style, trim, engine.

That should cover all you'd need to know. If not, PM NOFX. Her list (unfinished, but still far larger than anyone else's) would blow you away.

Do you just want to know the 6th gen USDM Civics or ALL of them? And EK technically refers to only overseas hatches and sedans. No US models are EKs (6th gens are EJs, EMs, and ENs here).

PS - Lots of others might point out that they're not EKs either.... I've found 6G (or 6th gen) is a pretty good term to use instead.

This should be the US ones at least (like my last list). I didn't include del Sols... but I think of those as 3G CR-Xs anyway, not 5G Civics (though they seem to be more of a 5G Civic than a 6G Civic).

EG8 (D15B7)
'92 - '95 Civic DX sedan
'92 - '95 Civic LX sedan

EH2
'92 - '95 Civic CX hatch (D15B8)
'92 - '95 Civic DX hatch (D15B7)
'92 - '95 Civic VX hatch (D15Z1)

EH3 (D16Z6)
'93 - '95 Civic Si hatch

EH9 (D16Z6)
'92 - '95 Civic EX sedan

EJ1 (D16Z6)
'93 - '95 Civic EX coupe

EJ2 (D15B7)
