Bearings, Bearings, Bearings....
I just need some quick info about Honda's B-series Main bearings sizes. I basically just need to know what colors represent what sizes. Like green equals 0.00mm oversize, so what does yellow, black, brown, etc mean?

I posted my little excel worksheet a while back, it will help you determine your bearing colors depending on desired clearance.
Your best bet is to measure, measure and measure. Then plug your numbers into the sheet and it will spit out your results.
If the motor is bone stock, and the crank has not worn beyond spec, then you can just use the original bearing colors.

Thanks very much, I usually just use all standard bearings from a brand called hi-tech and have always had perfect clearance. This has been working on about 8 motors now that I have built and they all never had a problem. This time I decided to try and use clevite 77 std all the way around (I usually use them on just the rods) and for some reason I have like.003 on all the journals. WHen I run the crank and block codes on the chart I get that I need 2 brown and 2 black and a yellow. THe yellow is what is bothering me, if the clevites are set to std green sizing then a yellow would make the problem worse. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the clevite are made smaller then the greens. I am going to take some more mearusement today and try to figure this out. Thanks again
