i have a d15.. and i put a d16 head on it.. its a vtech head... everything is hooked up... but the car wont start.... i turn it over and the starter gose on and like in 3sec later it pops... and sounds like it is the pistons then like 3 sec letter it dose the same....? whats wrong with is? is it the firing ? or.....

Beyond that, did you do the OBD-1 conversion like you should? Are you sure the mechanical timing is on? Because if it isn't, your valves are being forced into your pistons which just doesn't make for a kosher motor.

man ur not doing to well r u. obd1 obd0 ob2 that the type of ecu it is. every ecu is like a pm6 pm4 those r obd0, ur giong to have to get a obd1 ecu that was for the head, but ud probley be better off just getting a d16 block as well, and just doing the whole motor. but for starters u need that ecu and the jumper hassness for the ecu.
What distributor are you using? What about the ecu? Do you have the sparkplug wires in the correct order? There is a lot of possible causes for your situation.
