Default What parts will fit a 84' CRX

Hey, I picked up a 84' CRX about a month ago and wondering what parts fit it. Can only 1984-87 CRX parts fit it, or could I use parts from the EF. Since the CRX was still in the civic name back then. Thanks

No EF parts will fit without major modifications.

Head over to redpepperracing.com for some good info.

i had a old integra 89 and i did a b series swap to it from hasport. I used all there rec. parts and it was not a good quality, fast ride that i thought it would be. Now in a crx thats a different story, my first actual car was an 86 crx HF. I eventually installed a d16a1 from an integra. Pretty neat becuase its such a low budget swap. Also you can still get cams and there is plenty of room to boost it. I actually put the 86-89 integra front end on my CRX. Everything including hood bolted right up the only problem was fender mounting where the doors were. You can upgrade your factory torsiuon bars using civic wagon and re keying them to get more lowering without the brutual ride from performance torsion bars. I bought the race torsion bars and they were horrible. The hardest part of my whole d16a1 swap was the wiring. I found an integra at the junkward and used its whole car harness front to back. Also if yours is carbed you need fuel injection lines and the inline fuel pump.

yea, I have the DX 1500 Carburated!!! It has 240,xxx on it and I am just going to let it die. Not doing a damn thing to that engine except change the fluids and keep it running for as long as it can. I am doing my susspension first, then swap the engine (thinking b16) and then doing performance parts. I got the car non running (needed altenator, radiator fan motor, other small parts). I also flushed everything including the radiator. After about a lil less then a days work. It was good. It runs strong still and im guessing if I keep up the maitness I can get it to 300,xxx. Thats my Goal becaue Im low on money and just going to get the susspension out of the way, possibally new brakes. Just ordered new molded carpet for it and need to find seats.
