FS: 1984 Honda Nighthawk CB650SC, UJM classic, mint. (New Hampsha)
My dad gave me this 84 CB650SC this summer when he bought a 919 on the condition that I couldn't sell it. He decided recently that the 919 is so fun he probably won't ride the 650 any more, and it's a bit heavy for my mum too, so he gave me the go ahead to sell it. If it were a 700S, I'd keep it, but it's not, it just doesn't have the right feel for me.
This bike is in great shape. It needs tires and the carbs cleaned out (I'll be doing the carbs this week). My dad is the second owner of the bike, it's never seen a night outside and has always been serviced correctly with all Honda parts (even the oil!). The previous owner was a friend of the family, and he only put around 10k on it from 84 until the spring of 2005, when he sold it to my dad. The bike now has ~24k on it. The tank/plastics/body are mint, one of the best I've seen, even the blinker stalks are perfect. He had some electrical issues last summer, so he had the whole charging system replaced, and there hasn't been a problem since.
Bad things:
Like I mentioned before, the carbs need to be rebuilt. He let it sit for a long time when he got the 919 last year, and it doesn't like to start up. I drained the bowls and it wasn't pretty, the bike has sat around before and I can't say it was always properly winterised. As a result of the low use by the original owner, it sat in his garage a lot, and it burns a tiny bit of oil due to leaky valve stem seals. The oil use is less than a quart per oil change, and you really only notice the smell of it when you're behind the bike on the road or on it and parked in traffic. My 700S was the same way. I am undecided whether or not I will rebuild the engine before selling, I doubt it would be worth it money and time wise for me. Cosmetically it's perfect, except some slight corrosion on the aluminium engine and case covers, nothing major at all though. My 700S was worse and I fixed it with 30 minutes and some Mother's polish.
This is not a beginners bike. If you've been on one of these you know it's a bit of a sleeper, but it's heavy and too much for a first time rider, I will not sell to a 16 year old kid. I am planning on cleaning the carbs this week, unless someone absolutely wants it before that. Feel free to PM/email me about coming to look at it, I live in Durham NH and I teach in Raymond NH, I'm usually home by 3:30PM at the latest. I'll be around all weekend. I will be going back to NY for school at the end of next week (Jan 12) so before that would be best.

This is for pick up only, no shipping. I hate to see this bike go but I need the money for school.
