Baby Car Seat in DC2
Anyone carrying their kid arround in their DC2? I just put the car seat in my car for the first time and it seems like it is sliding around a lot. The seat belt can't hold on to the car seat. The leather seat makes the car seat slides in all direction.
dont worry it happened to me too in my gsr. just take it to the police station and they will do it perfect. jes tell ur baby to hold when vtec kicks in lolol. gl with ur child man they're a blast.
i have a carseat in my car. all i did was use the little gold metal piece that comes with the carseat and sat on the seat to add pressure, then i hooked the metal piece on the seatbelt and it hasen't moved yet. it's been there for a year and a half. you can do that for both front facing or rearfacing carseats.
Has anyone considered installing a center lapbelt from a sedan into the middle to anchor the carseat? It would make the two outboard rear seatbelts useless, but noone will sit there with a car seat in place anyway.

this is actually a good idea, it should tighten up better. But not sure about that bottom plastic.

Put a towel or rubber mat over it to prevent the seat from sliding.

I don't know about having a car seat in a dc2. Seems like a lot of hassle to slide the front seat forward, strap your kid in his seat while trying to not hit your and their head on whatever...... I just know once I have a kid, the teg is either going to get parked or sold..... Safety would be my number one goal for me and my family and I don't feel the integra is in that list of the safest cars.
I bought my Gsr from my neighbor because it was to much of a hassle for her to keep having to get the kid in and out of the car seat in that little car.... its hard from me to get in and out of that little car...I'm 6'6

i think you have it backwards...the kid should be the one getting sold

Check with your local police station. My girlfriend is a licensed car seat tech (which sounds horribly lame) and they have a car seat check 2 times per month. At that event, the techs will help you properly install your seat and show you how to do it yourself so that your child is safe.....and since these events are funded by the local hospital (which i think is a nationwide thing), the seats are really cheap.
the way to do it is make sure you have the rear anchor in, then ues the gold thingy that the guy above said to keep tension on the belt and you should be fine ive had my kid in my car for like 16 months and its been great

We can't all drive minivans.
Honestly that is why I suggested mounting the car seat in the middle if the rear seat by replacing the belts with those from a sedan. That way you maximize crush distance around your child. You can attach the tether to a rear strut bar if present.
