rubbing issues retrofitting dc integra coilovers
hey i did search but im not exactly sure what words i should have used to do this search. anyway.
i know that if you want to use eg or dc coilovers on an ef u have to get the front forks from either of those cars.
someone told me when using the eg or dc front forks the forks will rub against the axles. does anyone have any experience with this problem and how did u fix it?
im thinking about shaving off some of the metal from the inside of the fork but i have my doubts because this may effect the structural integrity of the forks.
there is also another problem and that is maybe it wont rub for a d-series axle and will for a b-series axcle or the other way around.
thanks, any comments are appreciated

Unless you are talking about a sleeve coilover kit, why in the world would you try to fit the WRONG shock on the front of your REX. I keep hearing about this stupid "trick", just get the RIGHT coilovers for your rex and you won't have problems. the geometry is totally different from the EG/DC than it is w/ the EF body, even if you make it bolt up it still will not perform like the properly designed EF suspension would!?!?!
I run Skunk 2 coilovers for a DC2 integra on my CRX for the added stiffness but they physically bolt up the same and match dementions with the EF setup. Fullbody DC coilovers do not belong on an EF...PERIOD! (well, the fronts anyway).

the reason some one would do this is because the selection of full coilover suspension for efs is not that great, some one might want to run a certain brand coilover that does not manufacture a kit for the ef. maybe some people want to run some thing diffeferent than g/c + koni yellows.

Tein.....need I say more?? You gotta pay for it of course but man it's an awesome setup. You get what you pay for.
