I'm putting in a b18c1 into my si hatch and i've searched all over the forum and i can't seem to get a clear answer on this. how do you wire the knock sensor and tha aib sensor? Do you just get any ol wire and run it from the ecu to the sensor? also will the engine run with out these sensors plugged in?

 

u run the wires from the sensor straight to ur ecu...find the ecu pinout ur using and pin it to the right spot...try to use the same gauge wire so u wont have alot of resistance in the wire...yes the engine will run without it but it will run bad and unsafe

i looked at the sticky and i still cant seem to figure it out (maybe i'm just daft) but do i just get a wire and splice onto the ecu and the knock sensor? what is the exact method of wiring the ecu? or is there a link that can help me out? its all very unclear to me

 

IAB wire - normal 20awg wire.
knock sensor - shielded wire (mic wire from radiocrap works good)

the engine will run without those sensors but you will get a CEL. IF you're using the P72.

 

what should i use as far as a connector?

 

for the IAB? simply pick up one from a junk yard or spice it directly

knock - again connector from a junk yard works the best.
