manual trans sohc d series si ex $40 gainesville 90k miles
the trans may or may not be in perfect working order. thats why its cheap. here's the story:
it was functioning fine, smooth, no grinds, but it was making some faint whirring noise in neutral with the clutch out so i figured the input shaft bearing was dying. at 90k miles i swapped the trans out with a spare i had laying around and cracked this one open to take a look. replaced the input shaft bearing with a new one, but noticed a bearing on the countershaft that might also be going bad. lacking the tools to break down a countershaft, i just put it back together and never had it in a car to test it out. so you will be taking a risk if you install this trans "as is" since it may be perfect or it may have a bearing going bad.
