no, it's there for a reason. So people don't over rev and throw rods, drop valvetrains. etc..... Hitting it over and over can induce wear and reduce the life of ones engine.

If you're one of those people that like bouncing off of it, get an M.S.D. box and set your own rev limiter and rev it all you want lol
It also comes in handy for launching the car, lots of people use it for Drag Racing.
It's twice the price for our cars though, cause we have a coil pack...
