Does anyone know if the any other years are compatible engine wise? As in, would a 98 or 96 longblock work with a 97? I've got a line on a 97 that needs an engine, just need to know if other years engines will work. Thanks.

 

97 and 98 will work.

96 it depends on your vin for the part #
