Default Did I get the wrong pads? (hawk hps)

Ok i checked to make sure the part number was right and everything from both the site i bought from and hawk's site. but these pads just dont fit my calipers

I dont understand what is going on because the part number is right and everything, is there some magical thing I was supposed to know about that i have to like hack off the end part so it'll fit or something?
The stock ones have little nubs that stick off the end and this is just a flat piece
overall it's pretty much the same size, just the end parts doesnt fit.

I know there's plenty of people that have hawk hps pads on here so let me know what is wrong,
did they ship the wrong part
or
do i have to fab it to fit?

You should not have to fab anything. I think they are the wrong part if they dont look exactly like your previous pads when you stack them together.

the wierd thing is those brake pads look like the 88-91 civic/crx brake pads,,with the little ears and all so i dont understand why they wouldnt fit...

is it possible that you have integra or 90-91 civic ex front brakes.?? is this car stock? did you buy it modified?

do the old pads look like this?

come on dude. theres no chance they are correct. they put the wrong pads in the box somehow. return them and get the right ones, end of story.

Yes.

Looks like you have 16CL13VN calipers from a '90-91 CRX Si - am I correct?

It also looks like your new pads are FMSI #D273s for the regular unmarked small calipers that came on Civic Si/DX/LX, CRX DX, and '88-89 CRX Si - am I correct?

If so, those are definitely the wrong pads. The 16CL13VN caliper takes FMSI #D373 pads, which have the extra little tabs on either end of the backing plate.

well either they put the pads in the box wrong or i have different caliper brackets, anyone care to tell me what they are from? i bought them from a friend who got them from a friend so i'm trying to contact him but in the meantime does anyone know what they are from? they have that little nub that sticks out on both sides.

edit: i truly dont know what the brackets are from but the actual caliper is for an 89 civic si, becuase i just got remanned ones.

Those are definitely not Civic Si brackets. Judging by that picture, I am pretty sure they are '90-91 CRX Si brackets.
