What miles to replace timing belt?
im about to buy a integra, the owner has never changed the timing belt + water pump and its at 88k miles. On the manual how often are you suppose to change the timing belt+ water pump?
Actually it depends on how you drive. If you drive spiritedly, the manual recommends about 90K. But if you drove like you stole it with constant redlining, it could be a little sooner. I had to replace my timing belt at like 75K. If you inspect your timing belt and It has some tear in it, It's best just to replace it as soon as you can. It will save you the headaches from worrying about bent valves and damage piston tops once it snaps. Good Luck.
