Default What Would Happin??????

What would happin if i put axles on my 93 civic ex that do not have ABS and the car dose? would that throw check engine light ? will there be any problems while driving??? ( when i brake ) any help plz

I thought 93 Exs didn't have ABS?

well it dose, its a 93 civic ex 4dr sedan i have a D16Z6 motor that has recently been turbo'd with a t3/t4 hybrid turbo with 15lbs boost. complete MSD and 440cc injectors.

but back to the topic dose anyone think that will be a problem???

I don't see why there would be a CEL but I wouldn't know if there can be any damage to the ABS system if you had to brake and the axles had no ABS rings. ABS parts can be pretty pricey too.

It would damage your ABS if you use axles not meant for ABS, if the ABS gets damaged then the ABS light comes on, not the CEL.

When i had to get a new axle for my 96 civic ex w/o ABS the old axle didn't have the notches for the wheel speed sensor but the new remanufactured one did. Your ABS system wont perform as well if you dont have the notches.
