Wheels and Tires
You can't go wrong with steel wheels and hubcaps.
As for tires, well every major manufacturer has some good tires and some not so good tires in terms of performance/value. I am not exactly to sure by what you mean when you say 'trustworthy'. Are you afraid of a catastrophic failure or something?

Here are some questions you can answer, that will help select the tire that best meets your individual needs:
1. Based on your location, is it okay to assume that these tires will probably never be driven on snow and ice?
2. Will you use these tires in rain as well as in dry weather, or only when it's dry out?
3. Do you ever plan to use these tires in an autocross, track event, dragstrip, etc, or are they only for driving on public roads?
4. How much do you care about performance? IOW, are you looking for the best traction and handling ONLY? Or, alternatively, do you also care about value (low purchase price and/or long treadlife), so you would be willing to accept a bit less traction and handling for better value?
5. Is there anything else you're concerned about regarding tires?
Answer these questions and we can recommend something that best meets your needs.
