Since I have only had my neww si for about 2 weeks I like to pick the safest place to park it. So today when I went food shopping I found a nice spot in the furthest part of the parking lot ,there were no car within 3 spots from me! Anyway the seconded i walked out of the store I could see, even though the car was 150+ feet away, a line ( almost looked like a racing strip) all the way down my driver side.. Well it turned out that someone FNing keyed my car at 2pm in the middle of a busy parking lot. It was so far away from everyone that some ahole must have went out of his way just to mess my Sh*t up. Figures too that the stores camera only reached about 10 feet away from my car so they couldnt see who did it. So everyone be careful because we have some SI haters out and about. probably a ford owner haha... If you catch anyone doing it to your car hit them once for me... I was sooooooo pissed! luckly I have a good insurance policy and its only gonna cost me 50 bucks but boy did it ruin my whole day!

 

Once I saw that you were from Jersey, I felt sorry for your SI. I hate people.

 

NEVER park your car away from all other cars its just a magnet for someone to come and mess up your car. I always park right in front of stores or next to brand new cars.

Not sure that this is the best strategy either. High traffic areas mean more cars coming and going, more doors opening and closing nearby. Plus, honestly, if someone keys your car it doesn't matter too much whether it's "far" away or right in front of the store. Other people aren't going to detain the person until you're done in your store....

Probably some dude with a 10 year old hand-me-down mustang who recently got denied financing at a local dealership for an Si.

That really sucks man. Makes me cringe just thinkin about it.

I know how you feel, when someone painted some school colored spots all over my windows at school (when I was still in HS) i was ready to whoop some *** just for them effing with my new car.

damn reading your story even pisses me off. sometimes i just want to take a day and park somewhere and hide in my car. unleash hell on anyone who touches my ****.

 

lol. I did that once. Just hangin out at an import get-together. Some guy walked by and bent my side mirror back. (dumbass didn't realize it's a breakaway mirror). Needless to say it still kinda pissed me off and he ended up with a rather large dent on his hood courtesy of his head.

I called it a night after that.

 

When my girl friend brings my camera back i will take some pic of it...
Went to the local honda place and the damages came to 817.20 because some A-HOLE! was having a bad day.

 

Actually he was probably having a bad LIFE. Needless to say that sucks man. Good luck with the repairs!

yea my insurance covers it all but 50$ ... thank god

 

I know this sounds like it doesn't make sense but park your car in the midst of other cars. This will make it NOT stand out as much. If you park out in the open alot of haters will think you are doing it on purpose so that you won't get ur baby all dented up. And they'll target you. Just cause they're haters.

Park next to really nice cars or in between a car and a curb so that you can park as close to the curb as possible to avoid door dings. Obviously it's not 100% fool proof, but it usually works out better.
