Default What should I do next? 2006 Civic DX coupe.

So far I got...

- Vent Visor (so you can crack your windows open in the rain)
- Short shifter & metal bushing
- weighted shift ****
- SI front & rear sway bars (to be install)

- Pioneer Premier head unit
- Arm rest (yesss!! DX doesn't come with it)
- All season rubber mat
- Body colored side mirrors
- Body colored door handles (to be install)
- Navigation
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not a ricer or like to waste money on junk. I'm more of a performance oriented guy and like to do mods that actually matter. So that throws HID headlight out the window. I know it helps you see better and all but that money could go somewhere else.

I don't need a 1000 watts system so that can also go out the window.

Intake & exhaust is pointless to me, it's go turbo or go home. I'm planning to turbo the car once the warranty end & turbo kit prices comes down to like $2k. So why waste $1k now on intake & exhaust when you turbo the car, you have to upgrade again (2.25" pipes won't cut it and with a turbo, you will need new intake system).

I wouldnt consider HID lights rice or a mod that doesn't matter. I appreciate that you want to go in the direction of performance but more than 1/2 the things you listed above have nothing to do with performance and would fit in the same category as HID. You seem like you already know what you want, so what is it you want us to tell you?

if that will satisfy you over lowering it... well, then here is my honest suggestion..

you seem like the kind of guy that is all about DIY, and thats cool. So as someone trying to modify, yet not make it like.. hella obvious to the general eye... i think you should do an EX/Si rear disk brake conversion...

as someone that is... well

then you'll be amazed at the difference of having all wheel disk

just my opinion

Wouldn't lowering it cause your tire to wear out unevenly.

I believe only if you go super low to cause a massive amount of negative camber. However there are camber kits to correct the issue.

Well sticking to the suspension side I would go with a good coilover setup such as TEIN with the EDFC for maximum ride control. Or a good set of drop springs such as Eibach or the TEIN S-Tech.

K20z3 engine swap.

If not, like you said, wait for turbo.

a camber kit and proper balance and alignment will fix that

for all the money you are putting into the car, dont you think it might have been wiser to wait a bit until you were able to afford the Si?

Pete we discussed this when he picked the car up
he wanted to keep it cheap, pay it off asap & modify it down the line

Good plan, if you are putting more money into it.

Yeah, I believe that is an option that has to be purchased. That is why I went with an LX back in 2002.

gotcha! I'd be looking at junkyards for things like color matched mirrors and door handles...maybe you'll get lucky...and spend a lot less!
