i was wondering if i can put a obd0 d16a6 intake manifold, obd0 d16a6 dizzy, and the obd0 engine harness on the d16y7? will this work and is their any modifications? i was thinking if the obd0 dizzy dont fit can i cut the wires off the obd1 and put the obd0 one on it. because my d16a6 timing belt snapped just 30 mins ago, and my friend is giving me his motor. I have a 91 civic Lx w/D16a6 engine, the D16y7 is out of a 96 Civic Dx. Also my trans and clutch will fit the d16y7 since its a d series?

Yeah that will work. As a matter of fact the D16y motors will let you bolt the dizzy up with no problems like the Z6's have. Also youll have to remove or tie up the crank sensor wire. The Y8 and Y7 have it on the crank instead of the dizzy like the a6. Also the coolant temp sensor for the fans will have to be rewired, its not on the back of the block on the y8, its on the thermostat housing. Other than those few simple things it will be a direct fit. Good luck If you need some more help just let me know.

mybad EDIT! i believe its the D16y7 non-vtec, so i can use my d16a6 dizzy on the d16y7? nice! humm im running no fan, does it matter L0l or im not going to get a reading on my cluster for temp? i dont think it isnt that hard to rewire the temp right?
ohh im running no fan because it was a tight fit when i put the turbo in : ). Ya thats why my timing snapped --- 184xxx Miles on a d16a6, doesnt burn oil but wastes gas, never did a timing = snap, no head tick though

Y7 and y8 are the same blocks, for the most part. As far as the no fan dont worry about the switch then lol. The one for the temp reading is on the side of the head, next to the heater hose connection, under the distributor. im pretty sure its the same connecter and everything.
