Saving the SOHC
So here's the story, recently my brother in law received a white hatchback with a b18b motor, and he decided to pull out the LS motor and put it into his race car to race in Honda challenge. He is giving me the white hatch and i am going to eventually buy the car off of him. So in replacement of the LS a d16z6 will take its place. The d16z6 came from a black automatic EJ and is pretty beat up. The car was given to him through a family friend. The car hasn't been running for 3 years but surprisingly when he came to pick it up it started right up. That's a Honda for you. On with the pics

Here is the car. sorry for the bad photography skills

And here is the donner

We found this little guy over the thermostat

SOHC REMOVED!

Time for the LS

Empty

and at the end of the day 2 shells
I plan to get this project finished by the end of this week and i'll also get pics of the race car after.

ok so i cant read good...you took an LS out to put it in a "race car" and your replacing it with a d16 from an automatic car that hasnt run for 3 years?
yeah thats right, LS went into a Honda Challenge car and the d16 will have a 5speed tranny with a close 4th gear and 4.4 final drive. and the engine runs fine may need a little TLC.
