Help!!!!! b20 runs good untill 4500 rpm then craps out
ok i did a b20 swap into my teg ran great but couldnt put my hood on because the intake stuck up way to high so i put my b18 intake on and it ran fine this morning but at lunch i went and got gas then i headed home and tried to get on it a little and it just hit 4500 and then it doesnt go anymore aybody have any suggestions???
seems life the ECU, when i used to have my b20 teg i switched ECU and same exact thing happend around 4200 seemed like there was a rev limiter there.
Did you bypass the knock sensor? Like the GSR if the knock sensor is not bypassed or your ecu is not designed to run it properly then its a fail safe so you dont blow your motor.
ECU problem. Either the ECU you bought isnt for your car and is some pos generic base map or the chipping job wasn't done correctly and the ecu is trash. Ofcourse it could be a check engine light causing it. My guess is you need a stock ecu.

i didnt know they made an b20 ecu for a manual transmission but i pulled my intake again and the gasket was bad so im replacing it today and i'll see if that fixes it
well i drove it to the store and it all the sudden started smoking really bad so i got it home and now it doesnt have any fire so either my msd or coil crashed 1 or the other
