No, there isn't a b16 y80, but there is a y80 -- its either the USDM or JDM GSR tranny. Only diffirence being the JDM has LSD

noooo...y80 is just the casing number...a y80 can be an ls or gsr transmission

It can, and it's amazingly ghey also.

Makes it a little harder to determine the actual make of the transmission.

yes Ive had all three transmissions on my car...LS, GSR an SI, unfortunately I was just originally trying to buy a b16 and in the process was sold the other two without knowing any better....I learned the hard way

they should have the model number on a stamp --- like b16 si = SC4...

ahh you must have missed what I just said...an LS transmission can be stamped s80 or y80, same goes for a Type R or a GSR, MY PERSONAL SI TRANSMISSION IN MY CAR doesnt say SC4...If you play the sticker game you can and probably will lose
