Default 2000 Teg Type R ecu in 99 si????

I have a 99 civic si and my wife has a 2000 integra type R. I tried to put her ecu in my car but it wont start and i cant here the fuel pump when i turn the key to the on possition. Is it possible to run this ecu in my si ro no?? Does anyone know why this wont work? I have searched but couldent find anything thanks.

i was wandering if it was looking for a chip in the key maybe? The plugs are all the same. I cant find out whats different.

No, it shouldn't... Unless he disabled the imobilizer. Besides.. why the hell would you want to put the type R ecu in the SI?

I think that ecu has an immobilizer in it so i wont work without the right key. someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It's pretty easy to pull out the immobilizer. While it'll work perfectly, you'll have a permenant CEL.
