Default Powdercoating and Center caps

I'm finally going to get my rims powdercoated white for my birthday, and since the center cas are plastic, they can't be painted....does any one know any other caps that may fit? specifically i want the dc5r, because of the red honda symbol, but i can go with all white too.

Contact the shop doing the work ... you should be fine
might be a little HARD to get the H to red via coating
there is a guy on ebay i believe that sells "overlays" for the centercap to change the symbol to red

does anyone have pics of powdercoated white stock rims? How much will it cost? Is it something you can do yourself?

White centercap with red H would look siiiick --like the type R wheels :D

yeah the shop is charging me $300 for all four wheels, they cant do the red h thing, and he said he couldnt powdercoat them because they're plastic, but he didn't say anything thng about hand painting, plus if the dc5r's fit, i'd rather go that route anyways...does anybody know if they do or not?

I think he was reffering to the centercaps and not the entire wheel... ? maybe he was asking about the wheels themselves tho.

Well you could always try to get some red h stickers that would fit on the caps... but i think that would end up peeling off or messing up

no i meant just for the center caps....instead of having to paint mine and putting stickers on them which will eventually look crappy, i found a set of dc5r center caps for $130....thought it would be easier if they fit...and i am a SHE...jeez! hahahaha

I'm going to go this same route for my TSX rims. I think it might be pretty easy to just shave the face off of some center caps and buy the chrome H's, or you could just buy some championship white center caps. It depends what you want to spend on the project.

that's not what he's asking though. he's already said they can't powder coat them. He's wondering if the type r center caps (red H on white) will fit our wheels.

they cant because they are plastic, and it will melt the plastic. and he didnt mention handpainting the caps....i just wanted to buy the dc5r center caps since i wanted the red h symbol anyways, thought it would be easier but i want to make sure the caps would fit the si wheels first.
