Default Negative ground question?

My negative ground is in the back of my crx where the tire used to be sitting, and my hatch leaks, so I don't really want a water pool soaking my ground. Are there any temporary solutions until i fix the leak in my hatch? Should i just reground it?

You could reground at the shock tower, that's where I have my ground at after dealing with surface rust and poor grounding at the spare tire mount.
