Default Weird Noise on bumps after Tein Stech spring installation.

Hi, I am new here as you can see, I have a silver 00' accord 4cyl coupe. My friend just installed some tein springs on my car and ever since I've been experiencing some kind of thump noise when I drive on bumps. The sound is coming from the rear of the car. What do you think the problem is? I was thinking something wasn't tightened enough during the installation.

Spring slap from the dead coils. All progressive rate springs will do this. You can wrap the close coils with a rubber hose to help.

Thanks guys, I will try that. I state that this has been an ongoing problem since I installed the springs, just never had a chance to do anything about them. Its been a couple months now, is that still normal?

This is a problem thats been engineered into the springs. It serves a purpose, but its still annoying. One day I'll get around to wrapping my H&R's up.

make sure that you check the whole spring, to see if there are marks from where they were slapping. Then go ahead and put the tubing on them.

#1 you might have a blown shock ..

#2 might be that you didnt cut the bumpstops in half.
