Default ideas/help?

Okay so I know this should be in the cosmetic section and all but thought I'll probably get more help if any from here instead.

So I just purchase some side skirts from a local guy for $10 which is off from his '99 Si to be put on my '95 coupe. Yeah $10 because it had a few scratches on the skirts.

So question is anyone have any good ideas as to how I could fix up the scratches? (will try to get picture of the skirts) Passenger side skirts I believe isn't too badly scratched up but driver's side is pretty noticable.

I was thinking about maybe just sanding it down/off a bit then paint it but what number or sanding would I use? Or is there like some kind of paste of some sort I can put to it to cover up the scratches and then sand it and paint it? <---was thinking about bondo? Think that'll do? Never used it before.

Well any ideas or help if you've had scratched side skirts before let me know. TIA and any help is greatly appreciated!

This sounds like a good plan. Worst case scenario it doesn't work, you're only out $10.
