ok i got a 89 honda civic dx. i just brought a sohc vtec just a few min from this kid. it came out of 99 civic ex. swap includes motor,tranny, axles, ecu, motor mounts and linkage. can i just put this whole set up in, or will i have to buy wires for it to go in or will it just fit right in. oh and will the mounts fit

theres gona be alot of work to put this motor in. first you gota convert your car from dpfi to mpfi then you gota convert it from obd0 to obd1 or 2 its up to you. then you either got to get a cable tranny or convert your car to a hydro clutch.

 

but the the whole set up is coming with it so tryin to say i have to get a new tranny i cant just use the one it comes with

 

use your trans, convert to mpfi. If you want you could try and find a friend that has a pm6 and trade computers if you want to run obd0 but if not your going to have to convert up. The wiring harness will not plug into yours

 

wat if i get an 89 si wire harness will that work. will it fit then or wat year wire harness shoul i get the same year the motor is

n0 becuase a si harness is still obo and its for a b16 i believe i already went thru this with a friend beffore A: for some reason the y8 tranny wont fit in a ef its not possible without custom fabricatin..... B: your better off with the b16 ne way dude it runs high 14's stock in a ef i would kknow mine only weghts 2065 and i have a 91 std w/ 4speed manual so think how much of a difference that will be with almost double the power it was made to handle and make sure u get the lsd they help thats what i want i need the :funds: kid so something to think about yes ok C: end rant
