Default clutch dilema

My b16 crx recently broke down with something messed up in the transmission. The transmission itself is not messed up, but it's either a clutch spring or a bearing that went down. Well my question is, it it was a clutch spring, could I just get a new disc, and how would I tell if the pressure plate is still good? Oh, as of right now there is a ACT 6-puck in it. Thanks in advance for the help.

The smart thing to do is always resurface the flywheel and put a new clutch and pressure plate in. Clean all the parts with brake cleaner before reassembling. Can you cheap out? Yes it depends on how much power you plan on holding. The question is if your clutch slips do you really mind pulling the engine and redoing everything? When it comes to clutches you really get what you pay for.
