Default leak in rear

i apologize if i am re-posting but i searched and cant find anything about it.

i have a 96 civic dx and the rear quarter panel has a leak coming from some where leaking in to the trunk right behind the rear seats by the strut mount. its not the trunk seal and its not the tail lights i have managed to climb in the trunk and had someone hose the car down i see where its coming from and i believe it could be the rear window and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to start or have had a similar problem and what they did to fix it.

If it's the window seal, I personally feel that's best left to a shop that can do those kinds of repairs simply because they can re-seat the entire setup, but if you are demanding and want to do it yourself, you can get gasket/window sealant from an auto store and with a little time and patience seal up any leaky areas yourself. Also as I had posted to Syndacate a few posts down, i'm not sure if it runs through it or not but where you fill your tank up, if water is comming in where the gas cap cover is, and the seal where the filler tube goes through the body is not there or broken it could come through there. That is providing that the water seems to be comming from the side of the car where the tank filler is of course and also that it's not comming from the top down where it would deffinitely point to a window.
