I'm doing the same thing right now.
I'm installing it in an 89 Hatch and am using the Innovative mounts and cable/hydro conversion. So far I have had to buy a new clutch cable cause the stock one isn't long enough (Needs a 90-93 Integra) and I've bought a Innovative front crossmember to clear the Hydro/Cable thing this will also allow me to run any header I desire. Also I will be getting the JDM EFSiR Instrument cluster so I can keep the electric speed sender and have the 8k tach too.
I think with the Hasport mounts you will have to cut some ribs from the hood to clear your engine. The Innovative mounts clear, but just barely.
For wiring I have pasted in a 94 Integra main harness to the EF main harness (just at the ECU interface and am getting some OBD2a pigtails from Rywire to replace the OBD1 pigtails so that I can plug the P73 ECU straight in. Right now I have the engine running using a P28, but it's looking for a V-tec oil pressure sending unit and the Type R doesn't have one so to make it work I would have to modify the chip etc. Screw that I would rather run the stock ECU for this engine which will keep it efficient and smooth at the same time it produces the most reliable power it should. I am keeping it as a street car with no "racing" plans other than taking it to the local 1/8 track for ***** n giggles.
Exhaust, this is the one thing I have not started to work out. I have a custom system on there now, but it was for my Y8 that I took out (1'3/4"ID). I plan on at least a 2"ID system from the head pipe back. I have an aftermarket cat on there now that is 2' ID, but the flange that is welded on there is from the stock EF cat and is not big enough for the Type R head pipe. So I'm still in process

You will need axles w/ midshaft, dunno what ECU you are using but you cant use the one they gave you. I assume the engine is a 2000 so is the ECU. You will need an obd1 ECU of your choice(if your coverting). p28 chipped or p72 but if you go with a p72 you will need to run a knock since it will look for one. I am not sure about the clutch cable since you will be using hydro but you will need a 90-93 DA throttle cable or get the bracket to make yourss fit. Also, dont forget to bang your rear subframe, and the driver side shock tower so the alternator will clear. Hmm what else?

Axles and mid shaft that come with the engine/tranny fit just fine cause I have mine in right now with no problems all you have to do is remove the dust shields on the inside of the hubs (they pop right out with a screwdriver. The ECU should be a P73 which will bolt right in with wn ODB 0 to ODB2a adapter and run the engine fine I don't think that the P73 even looks for Knock as it is JDM not USDM

What is the point in running obd2????? It will not benefit him at all. That would be stupid, he should just get the obd0-obd1 jumper and just use a P72 or p28. If he went obd2 he will have to wire another o2 sensor since it requires 2.

Well let me say this, I have a 00 CTR motor in my hatch and it has a knock sensor on the rear of the block??????????? There is no point in going obd2. Change the vtec solenoid with a GSR or b16 and he is good to go!

Again, the JDM OBD2 ECU does not look for a second 02 sensor so its very much like an OBD1 ECU.
I'm not advocating running ODB2 just using the stuff he already has and the ECU that come with the engine.

you dont need too
you dont need too
My motor came along with the stock integra wires, like the wires to the interior fuse boxes and a hole bunch of wires that goes to the fuse boxes under the hood..Would i be needing all these or is there like complete after market wires that does the complete swap.

You can send your CRX main harness and Type R engine harness to Rywire and they will do all of it for you
