Default How do you keep a Viper alarm from autolocking my doors??

My Viper alarm automatically locks my doors when I turn my ignition on. I've locked my keys in my car twice because of this. Is there anyway to disable it?

I've had that problem a few times too. I'm not sure if all the programming features are the same with all Viper alarms..but i have the Viper 550, and the feature number is 1-3, then one chirp for ignition controlled locks, or two chirps for standard door locks
...go to the DEI website and you can download the Installation guide with step by step programming instructions...as long as you know where the Valet/Program switch is, you should have no problem

hope it helps!

How do you lock your keys in the car? I just got a Viper and think this is a good feature (for security while driving.)

start the car, then get out of car immideatly, letting it warm up to realize the car is locked. (i always carry/have a spare key on me or on the car.

the 300 esp I got wont lock em if the door is opened anytime after the 12v is given off of the ignition which tells the locks to lock, so maybe your door trigger came undone or somethin.

It's all in programing. Bring it back to the place you had it installed and they should be able to change it for you.

just look in your manual to see how you can disable the "ignition controlled door locks"... it should be something like enter valet/program mode.. n then select the feature you want to turn on or off.. in this case the ignition controlled door locks
