Shocks and Struts are put on vehicles to absorb or dampen the shock of the road when goin over bumps and cracks. With no one in the car and on level pavment the car should sit level if you have a ride height problem most likely one of your springs are weak are not sittin on the strut correctly. A blown strut will make your car ride funny and bounce alot.
