Default crazy weird question about my vtec solenoid. please advise

ok so i have a 1st gen b16a in my rex. one day i was adjusting the timing on my dizzy and i broke the plug on the vtec solenoid (the green one) by hitting it with a wrench. oil started pouring out. so i called up a friend of mine and he brough over another vtec solenoid. he is an integra person and thats all he had. he brought 2 of them he had laying around. they both were different. well 1 of them matched and i think it was from a gsr or something really close. it lines up perfect. im not sure if he used some parts off my b16a vtec solenoid to make it fit. but there are no leaks and it snaped together like legos. the only difference is the actual top of the vtec solenoid. its bigger than a b16a one.

question, have you ever heard of this before? and is it bad? and will this effect any kind of power or vtec performance?

ive been driving it like this for like 9 or 10 months and it feels fine. i just want to know...

You should stretch the spring inside so the vtakc will hit MAD hard!
All joking aside, your good.

I zip tied a vtec solinoid to my LS and used rubber bands, the car runs low 6's in the 1/4 and vtech kicks in like whip lash
