RSR Exmag on CRX install and pics
Well, since I had such a hard time finding pics or the Exmag system on a CRX, I figured I'd snap some pics while I installed mine. It arrived in a big *** box, and I quickly lined up all the pieces to see what it would look like

The tip looked a little big, but I figured it would look better on the car. I painted the axle back part flat black, so it would be nice and low key. It is a little splotchy because it was the first coat, I went over it again to fix that

After that, I took off the stock 1.5" exhaust. It really is 1.5", I measured it. Comparing it to the 60mm pipe was quite a difference

For the time being, I'm using a gutted stock cat because its free. I plan on getting a cat sometime soon so it quiets it down a little and doesnt smell like *** every time I get out of the car. Now, for some on car pics

As expected the tip looks perfect, right under my key marks. I really like how the flat black axle back looks too. Questions\comments are welcome.
Edit: I almost forgot to add how it sounds, doh. It has a nice rumble when you fire the car up, and its pretty quiet untill you step on it. Do not mistake it for a stock sounding exhaust, though. It is audible when accelerating, but not so much when cruising (even at 3k on the highway). At WOT, it gets pretty loud, but its a low tone, and no rasp. Although the sound does not have the defintion of a boxter engine, it still sounds good for a 1.6 liter.
Edit 2: Sound clip can be found here: http://www.supload.com/sound_c...4.wav . If it goes down and you want to hear it, send me a PM and I'll email it to you. It opens with Windows Media Player. The mic is maxing out, so it does not actually have that distortion. Its smooth sounding all across the rev band.

My friend (CRXToad) has the WSII. Its nice, but the tip is GIANT (I can fit my foot in the tip). I bought the RSR because I heard questionable comments about the WSII, no complaints whatsoever about the RSR. I figured for like $70ish more (the WSII is 500 shipped from a sponser here) I could get something foolproof.

It used to, but not anymore. From my understanding, it was to prevent rusting. The new version (which is what I have) does not have a finish because the pipe is made out of higher quaility stainless steel.

One reason that I did not go with RS*R when I bought my exhaust was that they used to be mild steel instead of stainless. I'm glad they've put together such a nice stainless exhaust.
This new one looks really nice, and I even like the tip. (I sawed off the tip on my Greddy SP2 and replaced it with a 2.5" stainless turndown.)
