engine ideas
I have a 98 EK hatch with a untouched 98 b18b swap. recently though ive pulled the motor and put back in the original d16y7 because of bad piston rings. So I have a few options... (A) do a total rebuild on the motor, aftermarket low compression pistons,rods,cams,springs,retainers,port & polish, & valves. I also plan to eventually turbo.
Or option (B) switch to a v-tec motor such as a b18c1
Or option (C) LS/VTEC with a b16 head
Im tring to find the best option. so I guess Im asking is vtec better than a built non-vtec with turbo? Thanks for your input on this one

Is rebuilding the LS while it's out of the car out of the question?
I say re-build that while it's out of the car. Then go LS/V or LS-T depending on your HP goals.
