Ok, so I am getting frusted getthing this emissions bull **** taken care of.

I think I have found what I need though, but I have a question first.

I found someone selling a 97 Del Sol ECU but once again, I think I will be dealing with someone who has NO CLUE what they are talking about. I would LIKE the ECU for the model with the b16 (as I have a JDM b16a) but this guy also listed a 93 del sol with a SOHC as a b16. Does the ECU chip matter whether it is a B16 or a D16?

Can I use the SOHC ECU if I need to? Or what would be the best 96-98 ECU chip to use with a b16?

 

obd2 ecu's cant be chipped

96-97 del sol vtec's are pretty rare

 

Dont need it for chipping, need it for emissions passing. I dont need to drive on it long, long enough to get ti to the station and back.

And I know how rare they are, a friend of mine owns a 96 with a b16, and ive been trying to buy it off her for like 4 years now.

 

so what car and what year are you working with? what ecu setup do you have right now?

 

I have a 98 Honda Civic EX Coupe with a 97 JDM B16a in it.

I just need a ECU that will plug up and make it so I can get an inspection. Doesnt need to pass, just needs to connect.
