what should I do with my crx ?
I have a 1990 crx hf and I wanted to modify it. I want to create a diary so I can show other people what I've done. What kind of mods would you guys want to see for a crx? What's should I do, go jdm or full show car. Do most of you guys want to know how to create a jdm crx or should I focus on something else. Give me some Ideas. B-series or k-series or something crazy like a s2000 motor. Let's be realistic and tell me what kind of mods you can afford and what would you like to see in a step by step how to do diary. What does everyone want to do to their cars. I want to create it to help other on their projects.
learn a little more about honda before posting. once u learn things ur gonna look back and see how dumb ur questions first. but im not flaming just saying. how much mony are u counting on and what are ur plans for the car. daily driver maybe?
First of all "next21" I like your avatar. Second of all this is a pretty stupid post. Its your car you should build it like you want it. That way when you get everything done you can just step back and smile.
Its kind of hard to modify a honda, especially a old one like a crx thats going to be your daily driver, because that car doesnt have any value on its own, and the parts your going to be putting on it are going to cost alot more then the actual car.
Best advice I can give you is, leave most of the car stock, just maybe lower it with some nice 15" rims, a lip, and intake and exhaust. This way nobody will really want to steal it and if they do steal it you wont really be under alot of money.
Another thing you can do is leave the outside stock except for dropping it with rims and a lip, and boost the original motor or go with an Ls turbo. It will most likely get stolen though if you dont keep your eye on it, but then again, its going to get stolen if you put a b16 or anything better in it.

the crx is a cult car, like old volkswagens, datsun 510s, MG's, etc. they can be made into great handling cars. they can also be the receipient of d,b,h,k swaps. search for a while before posting next time newbie or we may ban you. the first thing you should do is get an alarm, and then repair whats broken, and replace your worn out suspension components.

dude, this is why u dont post on this site unless u kno something. i get ripped on..but see me, i dont give a expletive lol. u wanna do this right? make the car like it was new again, replace bushing in your suspension, clean up the interior, reupholster if necessary. do body work, paint it. clean up ur engine bay, SEAFOAM your motor. its a beautiful thing. then once its working like it new again, start saving up for your swap, after you've swapped ina new motor and tranny, work on suspension, then buy yourself some rims and ur done.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Your saying make the car look nice, so that way no one will want to steal it!!!!!!!!!! Thats why people steal cars! And to put a turbo on it is even worse! If you dont want your car stolen go all motor but make everything look stock. Such as the exhaust. Try to stick with a dual tip, not a crooked coffee can. Shiny things attract thiefs, much like racoons. But go all motor. Yes your car will sound a bit beefier but just try not to show anything off. And if you do, only show it to people you TRUST! A turbo is WAY too obvious. You can hear it spool from a mile away and the blow off is a dead give away. But if you go all motor it will just sound like an engine. Nothing special. Yes, Im sure a thief can tell a difference between a B and D series when looking under the car, but an intercooler will just put naughty thoughts in car jackers heads. But you must keep your body stock. Clean it up a bit if you want or maybe even a paint job, but dont do a body kit or CF anything.
But its your car. Just try not to get it stolen.
Oh and a car becomes more than just a car when you put your own blood, sweat, and money into it. Its not just an investment. There is almost no way for a car to be an investment unless its in the hot rods. But no car you want to own for an extended period of time is an investment. Cars loose value constently. And putting ricer parts on it doesnt up the value much.
