what up fam im new to the site as a member but ive always used it for info but i cant find any1 who know whats the problem with my motor but heres the problem
its a 92 vx with a jdm d15b vtec motor boosted
ever since about 3 or 4 weeks ago the car just started kickin out light grey almost white smoke.when i start the car up i get no smoke but once the car starts warming up it starts to smoke.it smoke during regular driving and at idle as well but when i beat on the car the smoke goes away but once i release the pedal and hit it again the smoke comes back...im thinkin its the valve seals but in not sure...any input?

 

head gasket?.......coolant in the motor maybe how much boost u runnin?

 

yea, valve seals would be burning oil which would be blueish. white is usualy coolant and black is fuel. I'd say leakdown or at least compression test, check your oil for milkiness...

 

yea im gonna have to do that because i herd bluish was piston rings

Ok!! Lets clear something up!
No color can be associated with ONE part such as piston rings.

Blue- Oil
Black- Fuel
White- Moisture/Water

-Where it's coming from is a totally different story.
Get someone to drive your car with you following and see what colors you see. Best way though, would be to do a leakdown test as previously stated along with a compression test! Good Luck!

Very true. There are a number of different variables which could lead any car to smoke.

 

cool thanx for that input cause i was always asked what color was the smoke and then people would tell me what it was...but i didnt know that...thanx
