a friend of mine wants to sell me an 88 civic si. it suposibly runs but the battery is dead and the plug wires are gone. it isnt in that bad of shape jus a lil body work and a good scrub. he sed he will take 200 bucks for it. he put a battery in and cranked it over and said everything sounded fine. do you think it is worth it?

For $200, take it and run. Even if it's a lemon you could make your money back parting it out

correct me if I am wrong but I don't think that there is such a vehicle. I was under the impression that Si's were only made 89-91 in that body style but I could be wrong.

you sure it's not an 84-87 si? if it's not a d16a6 that came in the car, it's not an ef, it's an ea

there were 88 si's by the way. check the FAQs.

Sounds like it is an 87 Si...there was no 88 Civic Si from my understanding but there was infact a 88 CRX Si....

For $200 its a decent deal if it runs

there were no 88 civic si's

when you say the motor is out of an "OLDER" civic, you could be talking about anything before 2005. please be more specific. pictures work wonders.
