Default vtec help

i just swapped a b16a into a 91 hatch and cant get the vtec working when i have everything hooked up i think correctly and the code comes up for the ignition and it doesnt start it wont spark until you turn the key to off and it sparks one time then if i unplug the vtec oil pressure sensor it starts up but the vtec doesnt work and the ignition code doesnt come up anymore but the vtec solenoid comes up and the throttle position sensor comes up and if you drive it for a while the knock sensor also comes up anyone have any ideas on the problem?

Are you running OBD-0 or OBD-1?
What ECU are you using?
Did you do all the wiring yourself?
Was the chassis MPFI wired before or did you do that and the extra B16 wiring at the same time?

You say it won't start UNTIL you unplug the VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor, is that every time or was that a one time incident? It sounds to me so far that a wire is crossed in the harness as the O.P.S isn't integral for any starting purpose, or completing any circuit other then it's own.
