Default yes i searched: EF B swap header question...

i love the search on honda tech... no wonder why i have over 5,000 posts on VWvortex and only a few hundred here... the search is useful... anyways, i pick up my 91 Si tomorrow and i am swapping one of my B17's into it and i would like to have everything in order before i put the motor in really...

my dilemma... looking for a header for the EF... what i have found out is alot of people saying don't if you're not going keep the car at stock height... also found the cross member should be notched and hasport has the best clearance... but hasport doesn't give any performance gain really or so i hear, DC sports as well had little to no gain or so i read... i was wondering if i should go with a header or the GSR header/exhaust manifold setup... as well if nothing is really going to give me any gain over the other would it really matter if i used a crap ebay header?

also i would assume the 4-2-1 give more clearance than 4-1 headers on the EF?

thanks

(oh yeh you may ask why don't i use the stock B17 exhaust man./header well because i don't have it anymore... where it got to i dunno... but it's gone... haha)

The B17 block is the same dimensions as a B16A. Buy a Edelbrock B16 header, get a new x-member and call it a day

scared, no not really, but when you usually post in a forums where fi you do nto mention you already searched everyone will tell you to search and no one will answer your question...

but yes i do know the B17 block is the came as the B16 block dimension wise, and the crank stroke and the rod length is what makes the B17 a 1.7, also leaving the motor only fully rebuildable to 1.6 specs yeh i'm well familiar with the B17 but thanks for atleast mentioning that and thanks for the response... the car is only going ot be a daily driver to the other 3 cars i have sitting around so the less time and money i spend on it the better haha but i may ned upt with a full race cross member i hear they are the way to go...
