Default Another Downpipe thread...making my own

hey guys, need a little help here....

well first off, i have a 7bolt turbo, now i allready have the flange, and i have access to a mig welder aswell. i'm just wondering what the best way to go about it is. i'm sure i can tackle the project tho. i ordered two 90degree 2.5inch mandrell bent pipes too. here's a pic of the turbo on the manifold: (i'll get better pics up tonite of exactley what i'm talking about)

here's how the turbo sits:

and the exhaust side: (pic is before it was fixed, but roughly about the same location)

i also need to make a dumptube that will meet up with the downpipe which i don't think should be too hard.

any help/insight would be great

The best way is just to cut & weld until it hugs the oil pan like the stock header, slapping the motor in the car, then tacking it in the right pace. Take it off, complete the weld, then drive happy.

^oops, is it on the wrong way? haha. i still have my LS motor in the car that i can mock it up too, will probably tack and fill in the welds and weld a flex pipe onto it. would it be better or easier to have someone bend the majority of it on a pipe bender? or just cut and weld together peices to make it? TIA

hehe.......ya the wastegate is on backwards..... and are you gonna run a half size rad? cuz i dont think that thing will clear the full size integra rad.

don't have any of our local exhaust shops bend you any pipes........no one around here has a mandrel bender...that i know of....you can buy a couple pre-bent mandrel peices for less than what a exhaust shop would charge you to kink bend them.
