I was asking whether there is a difference with release bearings (the title of the post) from 94-01. If there is, what year did it happen (body of the post)???

Why not go to an online acura parts dealer and look up the various years untill you see the switch. Brilliant!!!!
And when I read your post, the words 'break in' made me think of breaking in a clutch, which made no sense to me. I tried reading it several times and that is what gave me a headache. Your choice of wording was confusing in my opinion, but now that you clarify, it makes sense.
