Half-Size Radiator and A/C on a DC2
You just need an independent fan for each heat exchanger. Go to the local parts store, and buy two slim fans, about $35 a piece, hook one up to your half sized radiator, and hook one up to your condenser.
I've never done it on a DC2, but that's where I'd start. I can't imagine it being much more complicated than that.

I did. All you have to do is switch radiator out to half size and single fan. You will not need the other fan. My AC worked fine with no overheating.
See my pix for ref. Fuildyne Radiator and A/C w/ compressor still on there.

12's on slicks.
12's on slicks.
I don't know how big the RMF header might be but .... my guess is that you can run the full size radiator but you will need slim fans. On my header I am still using the stock fan but .... I butchered it up to make it fit. I need a slim fan myself.

Darkb20 do you use a stock civic radiator on your car? Is it sufficient to assure a god cooling to your engine? I mean the stock civic have a thin core is it sufficient to avoid engine overheating?
that core looks kinda skinny, a lot more skinny than the tanks. my ebay radiator was much thicker and the core on mine is the same size as the tanks. my car does overheat in the summer, but Im also turbo and have the fan setup as a pusher right now. Im working on correcting that before expo (among other things).
no I dont think so, Ill find out soon enough. I plan to change mine to a puller once I relocate the radiator to allow room for the down pipe. currently with my fan on, if I put my hand on the other side of the radiator, I cant even feel any air coming thru it lol (and yes its blowing the right way).

Is this impossible to use without AC fan with AC in the car? Im thinking about taking the AC fan off because Im tiring of see the tie strap wrap around the AC fan hold the aftermarket radiator..

Thanks for the replays guys
But without ac fan the air condition is still working when the car is not in movement? I mean the ac fan is not necessary at all for a good ac job?

But without ac fan the air condition is still working when the car is not in movement? I mean the ac fan is not necessary at all for a good ac job?
Somebody could tell me if the radiator I bought and on the pics is a single or dual core and it is sufficient for a DC2 good cooling?

Yes the air condition still works without the ac fan on there. The Ac fan only works to cool down the original long radiator further. I would sit in traffic with the temp outside about 100 degrees F. with my A/C at full blast and it would be nice and cold inside.

i have the same radiator on my turbo set up. it seems to be doing the job for me.

Some misinformation in this thread. You must understand the purpose of the A/C fan, Honda put it there for a reason. It is used as a puller for the A/C Condensor. Without it, just brisky having you car stationary without anything cooling it off will create extraordinary high pressure in the A/C system, connect a pressure gauge to the A/C lines and monitor the pressure to see if your condensor is being cooled efficiently. A continuous cycle high pressure will mean the eventual death of your A/C Compressor.
Here is a Koyo Half Size - Dual Core Radiator with a FAL fan with A/C - note the condensor. Which has a pusher fan on the other side.
This is an a DC2R. Pay no attention to the non-B18C5 power pant which really doesn't make a difference in this situation.
To mount a half size radiator, you will need to remove the spot welds from one of the radiator brackets and reweld it.
