Default d16a1 head on DOHC ZC?

Like the title says is this possible? Cracked my ZC head so I'm looking for a new one... I searched and heard yes and no and everything in between, anyone know for sure?

Seems like it might be possible. They are very similar. Pistons for ZC/A1 are the same. I can't verify if the head bolts and dowel pins line up. Ask the question on http://www.thezcr.com. Somebody will know for sure.

will it bolt on? yes, but the heads are not the same - 86-87 D16A1 heads have different distributor and cylinder position sensor mounting locations - 88-89 D16A1 have distributor and cylinder sensor like the ZC - all 86-89 D16A1 heads have different bolt hole locations on the timing belt end for attaching the timing cover, etc. - all 86-89 D16A1 heads have valve cover bolt locations that are not the same as the ZC

Ive done it. the drivers side motor mount bolts to the head in two places on the d16a1 head. The zc head only has one mounting hole. So you have to grind a little off the lower mount on the d16a1 head. otherwise everything else is good to go. Ive got a pic of the two different heads next to each other its my picture hosting site is preventing me from hosting them
