Default ZC swap problems...help!

ok so i just did my first DOHC ZC swap...started right up. now the problem im having is when i start to give it gas it sort of bogs out then goes... also sometimes i hear a loud pop from the intake when i get on it. checked wires they are good have spark in all cylinders. also it runs ok until it warms up then it starts to get really hot. i noticed the upper rad hose gets hot but the bottom one doesnt. just replaced the thermostat no difference, the water pump was good in the old car so im assuming it is good, i dont see any leaks. also once the car is warmed up i see a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust, but that might be cuz its about 15 degrees out side i dont know... anyone have any ideas?

not like that. you still would be running fuel regardless.

ok, does this sound right?
water pump goes bad..causing head gasket to leak a small amount of coolant which i see coming out of the exhaust. that would explain the cold lower hose and the white smoke.. am i right?

is there any white milky substance on the bottom of your oil cap? If so, you could be looking at a blown head gasket?

nope not seeing anything like that oil and coolant both look clean, thats why i think it might be a cracked head, when it gets hot it expands making the crack expand and letting coolant burn off maybe?
