Default What to do.....

I have a 98 Civic CX with a D15 and it has thrown a rod. I also have a good D15 from an 89 Civic. Can I put the head and intake from the 98 on the 89 block and have a running engine? Could a thrown rod also bend a valve? Need to get the 98 on the road as soon as possible.

Which D15 is already in the '98, as none were offered state-side with a 1.5L for those model years except possibly the GX.

Dr Latino, these motors are not in my possesion and I was told they wrer both D15's. What motor was in the 98 Civic CX? I will try to go tomorrow to see for myself just exactly the engine is. Thank you for responding, you seem to be the only one who may know how to help me. Happy New Year!
